Great interview, Ray. Fascinating behind-the-scenes stories I've never heard before. I would love to get my hands on those transcripts from interviews for No Direction Home (aka What Happened).
Quite a difficult thing to do, reconcile two artists with a different view, one a musician of great experience and a film maker of great experience with different visions. Each have proven themselves, their art should stand as it is. Release the film.
PS, the Supper Club gigs are some of my favorite Bob Dylan performances. The footage Mike shot was beautiful and deserves to be seen. It's probably my favorite project I've ever done along with Springsteen at MSG in 2000 for HBO
Another great interview, Ray. Fascinating insights into the genesis of NDH. Borofsky comes across as smart and symaptico despite his roller coaster ride with Bob. Well done.
I enjoy the musician interviews, but with ‘95 being just about my favorite NET year the talk of full filmed live shows with audio straight from the board has this Dylan nerd collector just salivating.
I have just read the Supper Club part, ..blimey!.. A lot of interesting stuff here. Thanks again, Ray, and thanks to Michael Borofsky -- Hopefully this footage can be released some day
"The crazy thing is that I have this stuff in storage. If you brought a DigiBeta player to my house tomorrow, I could play you the whole damn thing"
..I am guessing Ray might have took him up on this and been there at his door, at dawn the following day, with a DigiBeta player under his arm!..

Just when it seems (to me) that you've tapped all possible sources, here comes a new favorite. So interesting. Great chat Ray!
This was great, Ray. I wasn't aware that Micgael worked with bob over so much time. Lots if great insights here!!🔔🔔🔔

As someone who was involved in many of the projects written about here, I can't say enough about how much I enjoyed reading it. Thank you

That was great!
This is great. Truly fascinating. Frustrating, too, of course.
There are good, the great and the stellar, this one’s the latter. Ray, you keep reaching new heights. Can’t Wait. For the next one. Buddy.
Ray you’re just knocking these out of the park. Another GREAT one! Thanks to Michael also for being so open and honest.

Fantastic article. Several pieces I'd not seen before.
