Thanks for sharing this, especially that video of Restless Farewell. Sinatra's face at the end is pretty priceless. "Happy Birthday Mr. Frank." He just knocks it out of the park too. He knows when to use his best voice, that's for sure.
I saw one of the Beacon '95 shows... 12/14/95, if memory serves. The whole show was great but the Bob/Patti duet was particularly thrilling. The weird sandpapery texture of their harmonies was mesmerizing... I remember thinking I'd never heard anything else quite like it in my life. All these years later, I still haven't.
December 9th in Boston was my first Dylan show (the night before the duet on Dark Eyes, of course). Also as an ignorant 15 year old, the first time hearing Patti Smith. Amazing introduction to both (Patti and Never Ending Tour), and lifelong fanatics now. Can't wait to read the review of the 9th. The One Too Many Mornings has stuck with me ever since.
